School Holiday Program
Our school holiday programs run every school holidays, and include excursions, outreach centres, and heaps of activities at each of our 3 youth centres (located at Hastings, Mornington and Rosebud).
The youth centres are a safe place to meet friends and make new ones, in a supportive environment – young people can be involved in structured activities run by qualified youth workers or have free time to chill and use the facilities.
Our excursions will be held all across the Peninsula and abroad. Young people are taken out for the day in the mini busses provided by youth services and participate in various recreational activities.
The cost of activities is free (unless specified on the flyer), and all excursions require a gold coin donation.
Drop In and Incursions
Drop in and other centre-based activities are for young people aged 10 – 17, and are available between 12pm – 4.30pm throughout the holidays. Young people will have access to free Wifi, pool tables, arts and crafts, sporting games, and a cool place to chill out.
No bookings are required, however Youth Services requires young people to be registered through ‘Care Monkey’ – please scroll down for further information.
The Mornington Peninsula Shire Youth Services (MPYS) takes the health and safety of children who use our service very seriously. As such we are adopting a new health and safety application named CareMonkey.
CareMonkey is an innovative parent/guardian controlled electronic medical form for clubs, schools and other groups with a duty of care to your child. It’s an electronic version of the paper-based forms you must fill in for registrations, excursions, camps, etc. It provides you the opportunity to update medical information promptly and accurately, while providing our service with instant access to the information provided by you in an emergency. For more information about CareMonkey, please visit their website.
You will be asked to provide consent to sign up to CareMonkey when you book your child’s holiday activities.
